Biplane Rides of America…Where Dreams take flight!

Welcome to our 2021 Season and our 13th year in business! We will be utilizing the same changes this coming summer as we did last season and were very happy to operate out of the Manitowish Waters airport for the summer. For our Madison/Middleton customers we will be operating out of Morey Field in Middleton during the early spring and late fall months. Any gift certificate holders that have our Wisconsin River or Lake tours should use them during the months that we will be in southern Wisconsin. Call 608-751-8000 for more information.

Our Biplane Tours are offered out of the Morey Airport at times when we are in the area. The address is 8300 Airport Road, Middleton, WI (Exit 250 from Hwy 12 and travel 1 mile west to the airport)

*Rides can be taken out of the Brodhead Airport also at very limited times during the season.

Notice:

Flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays will now be by reservations only when operating out of Middleton during the springfall season. Reservations can be made by phone within as little as 1 and a half hours before the flight departure if possible. (We need at least an hour travel time to Morey airport from our home shop). We also have a 2 passenger minimum for our 4 place aircraft. ( If you are a single rider and can not locate somebody to fly with you, we will put you on a list and try to add you to another flight that is already scheduled. Saturdays and Sundays we will be at the ride tent east of the parking lot from 10 to 6 to offer reserved and walk up flights. Rides are weather dependent so check with us to see if we are flying.

Hours for the 2021 season:

Hours and days of operation at the Manitowish Waters Airport only, will be 9:00 – 5:00 on Saturdays, 9:00 – 3:00 on Sundays; 9:00 to 12:00 noon and 4:00 to 7:00 pm., during the week. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) Closed Wednesdays. Call Ted for times outside of those hours as we can possibly fly if we are around the airport.

Hours at Morey Airport in Middleton ( Spring and fall only )

We recommend appointments but will be available during the posted hours for walk-ups.
Sat. and Sun. 10:00 to 6:00. (We’ll be at the airport manning the tent), on weekends that we’re open at Morey’s. (Weather Dependant)
Appointments needed on Monday thru Friday, 1 to 1 1/2 hour notice please.
Feel free to schedule a morning or evening appointment for corporate functions, family outings or larger groups. Reduced rates for groups larger than 12 passengers. Please call Ted for reservations at 608-751-8000 and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

4 Unique Ride Options Are Available:

Local Sight-Seeing Tour – this 15 minute flight is a great experience and offers a nice taste of the open flying cockpit adventure while viewing the beautiful local sights of Camp Randell (except game days), Middleton and the surrounding area. This flight is $80 per person (fare based on a minimum of 2 passengers and may cost more for a single passenger)

Wisconsin River Tour – this will be our 5th year offering the popular 30 minute flight which takes you over Mazomanie, up the beautiful Wisconsin River, then northeast to Sauk City and returns for a soft landing on the grass runway at Morey Airport. This flight is $150 per person (fare based on a minimum of 2 passengers and may cost more for a single passenger).

Lake Wisconsin Tour– We have had an interest in flying over Lake Wisconsin the last several seasons so we are offering this 45 minute tour directly to the Wisconsin river west of Sauk City by the Wollerschiem winery and up the river over beautiful Lake Wisconsin. We then head east over the Merrimac Ferry and along the southern shore line while meandering back to Middleton over Lodi. This flight is $200 per person (fare based on a minimum of 2 passengers and may cost more for a single passenger). This flight not recommended for people with motion sickness due to the length of flight and hilly terrain.

Devils Lake Tour- An extension to our Lake Wisconsin Tour, this 1 hour ride will take you around beautiful Devils Lake State Park. The lake is nestled down in between the Baraboo hills and is very scenic and rich with history of being a vacation destination for many Chicagoans back in the early days. This flight will only be conducted on nice days that have smoother air during early mornings and late afternoons or early evenings. The fare for this gorgeous flight is $250 per person (fare based on a minimum of 2 passengers and may cost more for a single passenger). This flight not recommended for people with motion sickness due to the length of flight and sometimes rough air from hilly terrain.

Bring your camera and shoot a few photos, but not too many…we don’t want you to miss the ride! Cloth helmets, leather jackets, goggles, and hearing protection are provided if desired, but not required.

DID YOU KNOW? Our Biplane Ride operation is only 45 minutes from Wisconsin Dells down Highway 12 exit 250 from the Kalahari Water Park. If traveling through Wisconsin and in the Milwaukee area we are a little more than an hour away. Keep us in mind…for an experience of a lifetime!!
